Margaux Farrell earned her masters degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California in May of 2015. She graduated with a 3.9 GPA.
Before USC, Margaux attended Indiana University for her undergraduate degree in journalism. Margaux graduated from IU with a 3.8 GPA in 2012. While at Indiana she was a 2 year captain of the varsity swim team. She was an 11 time All-American and internationally ranked swimmer.
Margaux has dual citizenship with France, and has competed on the French national team. Margaux swam at The World University Games, was a silver medalist at The European Championships, and a bronze medalist at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Margaux speaks fluent French, and is proficient in Spanish. She can shoot, edit and write all of her own stories. Margaux is able to edit on Avid, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro.
She began her career in news by helping launch a brand new morning news show. She began on day one of Wake Up West Texas, which aired on KIDY Fox San Angelo, and KXVA Fox 15 Abilene in Texas. She started as a host of a breaking/trending news desk, and was later promoted to anchor/producer. Margaux went on to stay in West Texas for 1.5 years. Then, in April of 2017, she was hired as a morning reporter for FOX61 News in her home state of Connecticut.
